In addition to the much requested additional shows per season, v2020.10.1 includes a number of badly needed overhauls on the back-end to help stabilize and improve performance.
IMPORTANT NOTES: -v2020.10.1 is NOT compatible with previously saved games. You will need to begin a new game after updating. -This version is not beta tested, meaning it may be possible some parts of the end-game might be unbalanced. Please use the survey to report any issues of this type. A re-balancing patch will be released later this week. Android App Store Page Latest Release Notes v2020.10.1 In this update:
3 Additional Mid-Season Shows! This update includes the much-requested 3 additional mid-season shows per season. Corps for these shows are randomly chosen and their scores are generated using an algorithm that takes their historic prelims scores from that year and regresses them accordingly.
New Scoreboard Display, with a skip function! Complete overhaul of the scoreboard and caption scores UI as well as the addition of a skip button (simply tap the screen to skip the animation).
Backend Overhauls DCT was badly in need of an overhaul of it's internal structure. Adding the additional 3 shows per season forced me to tear apart the game and address these issues, which was the main cause of delays on this update. Overhauled back-ends include the Score Improvement system, Caption Head Market system, Banner Room manager, Travel manager, Save system, UI manager, and other minor tweaks and updates throughout the game.
Important Notes As you can imagine, this update is not compatible with previously saved games due to the amount of backend overhauls. Please be aware of this before updating your app.
This version is also not beta tested. Please use the in-app survey link to report problems with balancing. I will be releasing a patch this week focused on balancing based on responses that I get.
Known issues: -Scores sometimes slip from historically accurate and this causes newspaper headlines to not line up properly. -The game is still difficult to run on older devices. Return to news
