LEARN THE MUSIC | Blue Stars Technique Exercises | STICK CONTROL

Vic Firth takes you BEYOND THE LOT with the “STICK CONTROL” exercise from the 2021 Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps. In this video, you’ll first see the exercise played at 100% speed with the snares, tenors and bass line together, then we’ll break it down with the notation on the screen – first with snares & basses at 60%, 80% and 100% tempo, and again with tenors!

  1. I mean. I get it. Nice content. But why ist a big company as Vic Firth able to first: label all the parts correctly (first part ist just Snare and bass), and the flams video doesn’t have parts at all in the video description.
And second: the sheet music of the tenors isn’t what they are actually playing.

Nice video, but could have been a lot better!

  2. The tenor groove bar arounds are different from what they’re playing, really like the line this year tho!
