2022 Broken City Percussion playing through their show music in the lot at the SCPA Rancho Cucamonga show on February 12th, 2022. The arranging in this program is simply incredible! I think it surpasses the level of arranging in their 2019 program when they won a World Championship at WGI. I’ve never really liked Broken City’s writing style. It always feels like it has no direction and never reaches a climax. It sounds like an incredibly talented writer got bored and opened musescore and just made up something random. The Drumline is super clean and talented, and the writer is clearly skilled. I just don’t like it.
