I started this project about 8 years ago. I watched all the WGI finalists on WGI Fan Network and screen recorded every snare, tenor, bass, and cymbal feature. Sadly, Fan Network got taken down a while back and I had only made it through 2009. I’ve been waiting for Fan Network to come back and watch up to this year for a MASSIVELY LONG VIDEO, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. So here’s up to 2009!
The best thing about this video in my opinion is that by viewing shows through the lens of just their tenor features, you can kind of watch the activity evolve.
The features really do go from “Park and bark” to involving more staging and movement and eventually going into the more complex body visuals we have in modern Wgi.
So I’m assuming you’re gonna give the front ensembles some love with a video like this. Only you have to include Pulse’s 2010 run and MCM’s 2011 feature.
